Apollo Game
Description
The simulation game ‘Apollo 13 – an ITSM case experience™’ is a module in which ITIL® concepts and processes are experienced via an interactive game. During the training, real-life situations from the Apollo 13 mission are simulated. You work in a team and play the role of the mission control center in Houston. Your task is to bring the battered spacecraft and its crew home safely. In this way, you and your colleagues learn and experience all the benefits of ITIL® procedures.
In this game you will work together in a team of 8 to 12 mission control center members. The team goes through the four phases of the mission (as listed below) and is faced with different events and situations. In each round, the team completes the following steps: process design, simulation run, assessment and reporting. Throughout the game, various ITIL® processes are required to enable the mission control center and crew to troubleshoot and make timely changes to the spacecraft configuration and orbit. The game can also be played with multiple teams of 8 members.
